Qatar Petroleum (QP) is a state-owned public corporation established by Emiri Decree No. 10 in 1974. Minimum of 8 years experience in an oil, gas or petrochemical industry control systems applications, out of which 5 years as Sr. Controls Engineer or Sr. Instrument Engineer preferably in operations engineering department. He should have good experience in projects management with good knowledge in control systems design. He should be familiar with relevant international codes and standards. He should be familiar with turbomachinary control systems particularly those of Siemens turbines TB-5000, Tempest, Typhoon, Avon and GE frame-5 turbines. He should have good experience in the analysis and troubleshooting of faults on turbine control panels particularly GE MKVI and Siemens turbine control panels. He should be familiar with SAP system and with good background in computer software.. Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering or Instrumentation Engineering from accredited university followed by engineering and specialised courses on control systems particularly DCS, ESD and fire and gas systems from reputed vendors (i.e. Honeywell, ABB, Invensys, Emerson, Yokogawa, Siemens, GE, etc.). In addition to special courses on turbomachinary control systems.On assigned shift carries out a variety of duties to maintain the efficient and safe runningof NGL-11213 and 4 process plants, auxiliary units, storage facilities, ship loading fromNGL jetty and supplies to QAPCO and QP Refinery. Includes starting up andshuttingdown plant following set procedures, commissioning equipment, Plant Unit wise, Rotatingequipment and Plantequipment, Commissioning Pig Traps for receiving and LaunchingPigs by-passing pig traps for opening and cleaning, checkingthat working conditions aresafe for maintenance to be carried out and carrying out various duties related to shiploading.

• Training/Certification related to Fire/Safety/Emergency Equipment Maintenance. • Training/Certification in LEEA/LEG or equivalent. • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Safety and Fire related environment with minimum of 3 years in Oil & Gas environment. • Good computer knowledge and skills • Good Report writing skills. • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. • Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations. • Ability to obtain Qatari driving license.

Develop and implement programs to develop the capability of suppliers in the E& I sector with emphasis on local companies. Create and implement programs to develop the capability of suppliers in the energy sector with emphasis on local companies. Candidates shall also be responsible for providing support to localizing suppliers to ensure their product o r service meets the established oil & gas standards of quality, performance, and HSE. Candidate should therefore be: • Familiar with oil and gas industry qualification process for QA/QC & HSE • Conduct and man age pre-audits through visits and provide report and input to local supplier readiness for QA/QC & HSE audit. • Monitor and support local suppliers Q A/QC & HSE audits by energy companies. • Participate in QA/QC & HSE reviews with energy company. • Report and analyze all supplier quality anomalies/safety observations to detect anu irregularities and propose corrective actions • Acquaintance with ISO 900x, ASTM, ASME/API, AWS, British Standards, and other relevant standards and, have experience in conducting QMS audits.
